About Skull Creek Designs

Skull Creek Designs is a family-run shop in Michigan. We are not trying to feel like a big corporation, and honestly, that is the point. We are a small-town family business built around careful work, straight answers, and products we are willing to stand behind.

The name started before whiskey barrels became such a big part of the shop. It came from our family property, the creek that runs through it, and the kind of outdoor life that has always been part of us. What started with simple wood signs has grown into guitar hangers, barrel decor, parts, drinkware, cutting boards, custom work, and more as the shop keeps expanding.

How we work

We care about the details. Some pieces are made from authentic used whiskey barrels that we tear down ourselves or source from trusted suppliers. That means real grain, char, curve, markings, and variation are part of the material, not flaws to hide.

Quality matters here. Craftsmanship matters here. So does communication. If a question comes up, if something needs explained, or if we make a mistake, we want to talk with you and make it right.

We want this store to feel like a place you can come back to. Not a hard-sell website, not a faceless shop, and not a quick transaction with no one behind it. Just useful, well-made pieces from a family-run business that cares about the product and the person ordering it.
